K-KONTROL BUILDING
SYSTEM
K-KONTROL ® building system is a universal construction
system for various types of buildings: new houses, roof extensions as well as
renovations. It is provided either as a single system for the whole construction
or as a solution of individual building constructions in combination with other
systems.
The
main element in the K-KONTROL ® system is a bearing
construction panel made of two basic components:
- static carcass from OSB 3 Kronoply plates
- insulation core from stabilized self-extinguishing PSBS 20 polystyrene
Panel dimensions are
based on the dimensions of OSB Kronoply plates:
- 1250x2500mm
- 1250x2800mm
- 1250x5000mm
Upon consultation with producers other dimensions of panel elements
can be delivered.
Standard K-KONTROL ® panel dimensions are 120 mm,
170 mm, 215 mm, 265 mm, and 320 mm thick. The thickness groups of K-KONTROL
® panels meet all static, architectural and thermal requirements. The
basic OSB panel thickness is 15 mm.
WHY K-KONTROL
SYSTEM?
In
the past, technologies of house building were determined by the availability of
building materials. In woody, hilly areas houses were built from wood, in
lowlands and along rivers clay brick were heavily used because there was enough
agricultural soil. Today, no one is limited by the available material sources
and wooden houses can be built even in countries with the tradition of masonry
construction. The advantages of quick, dry mortarless construction are being
appreciated nowadays. The need for insulation also plays an important role:
heat-insulating walls of wooden buildings are thin and do not take much ground
area as traditional masonry which has to be much thicker to achieve the same
level of heat resistance. It is by no means unimportant that wood is beneficial
for human psyche. It is capable of influencing the microclimate in the interior
and inspires a feeling of a close familiarity with the material.
Our
company introduced on the market the quick method of construction from sandwich
panels – K-KONTROL ® system. The main advantages of the K-KONTROL ®
system are:
- high energetic efficiency
- low air permeability through the construction of the K-KONTROL
® panel prevents temperature fluctuation in the construction, the
value of heat resistance (R) is very stable
- air humidity in buildings does not influence the heat resistance of
the construction
- the external walling made of
K-KONTROL ® panels has no holes
and cavities which prevents heat losses (or conditioned air losses), at
the same time there is no vertical movement of air inside the construction (a
comparative example is the insulation from glass silk or mineral wool or some
loose stuff)
- K-KONTROL ® system has a small
number of joints (connection points) in relation to the overall surface
area of the construction so that it has fewer thermal bridges than other
systems that are made of wooden or steel constructions or concrete buildings
made of concrete, brick blocks etc.
- K-KONTROL ® system is resistant to
rodents and insects (the foam material is indigestible for
animals).
FRIENDLY TO
ENVIRONMENT
K-KONTROL ® system also responds to
the environmental issues:
- materials for the production of the K-KONTROL® system do
not contain CFC, HCFC, HFC and formaldehydes
- the wooden external walling from OSB plates can be regenerated for
the production of new chipboard plates
- K-KONTROL® panel core from polystyrene (PSB-S) is
recyclable
- K-KONTROL® panel core is inert, has no nutritional value
and is stable (not active), does not produce any noxious gases or extraction
solvents
PSB-S core does not decay or disintegrate and is safe for waste dumps
and landfill
